Deleted3366011User
So iv'e been working on a player home mod and it's almost done except for one, kind of big issue. upon loading the game, the exterior of the house is not visible and has no collision. it just completely disappears. i cant really use any other house exterior because the layout of the house inside matches the one im trying to use. i've tried using the original, making a new form, and using a duplicate but none of them appear in the game.If someone could please respond to this with a fix i would appreciate it very much so i could upload my first mod. the Static item im trying to use but am having problems with is: "WHclancruelsea" here is a link to a picture of it in the creation kit: http://www.flickr.com/photos/67547125@N04/6857310571/in/photostream and here is a link to a picture of it in skyrim: http://www.flickr.com/photos/67547125@N04/6857310733/in/photostream
Deleted3366011User
Nevermind. i fixed it. the mod should be up once i finish adding deatails to the interior (random stuff on table tops etc) Edit: ok now it only shows up sometimes. this is really inconsistent. HaileySkyrim
I have pretty much the same exact issue and it's really starting to bug me and I can't find anything online about how to fix it, I messed around with some settings but none of them fixed it and I tried looking at the settings of a vanilla house exterior but I can't find anything. If you find a solution please let me know and I'll do the same if I figure out how to fix the problem.
gasti89
It's a bug reported on the CKwiki too. The Bug This is a bug you will encounter if you are following the Lokir's Tomb tutorial, specifically this step. You will also encounter this anytime you place a large static in an exterior cell such as a farm house or ship. When you place the pieces in the editor, they will show just fine. Temporary Solution Double click on the object in question to open its Ref Edit box, and check the flag "Is Full LOD" This is a temporary work-around not to be used as a permanent solution, as having too many objects flagged this way can severely impact performance. Notes The best use of the "Is Full LOD" flag is for testing purposes only during mod development; unchecking the flag before final release. There is significant evidence that the bug is not carried over to the user end, that it only affects the plugin author, not the players, so leaving it checked for players is not necessary given the cited risks of performance loss. So basically you can try fixing it by selecting the reference and marking "is full LOD" (anyway that doesn't work for me sometimes. It's better but not 100% sure). But it's reported that the users won't have that problem, it's only a author problem. Also, my world designer reported that the more stuff you add, the more old stuff you see. The bug seems to fix itself when you create new stuff.
