[Help] What causes HealRate to double while Waiting?

Hey guys- I'm working on a "natural healing" mod- the player will recover a full bar of health over the course of 5 days. That's only the beginning of my nefarious plans for Skyrim, but I figure it's a nice concrete place to start.

 

I've found everything I need (console commands, as well as where I'm pretty certain the player's default HealRate comes from), but there's one small issue that remains: for some reason, I heal twice as fast when I "Wait" for a period of time, as I do when I just chill in-game for that same period of time. Example:

 

* If I chill in-game for 3 minutes (1 in-game hour, at the default TimeScale of 20), I recover 4hp (at a lowered test HealRate of 0.023).

* But if I Wait (with T) for 1 hour, I instead recover 8hp, at that same HealRate.

 

Does anyone know exactly what affects HealRate while waiting? I'm assuming the HealRateMultiplier is factoring in somehow, but I don't know what's affecting it, or where to find that effect in the creation kit. Any help would be much appreciated!
