Shadowphonic
Hello, was wondering if If anyone could help me out. Basically, I'm a fan of the Geralt on Steroids Mod by oneofmanypeople, (http://www.nexusmods...her3/mods/946/?) but that mod only refitted the Cat School Armor to the edited proportions. I've managed to uncook and export the Kaer Morhen Armor, and the shirt outfit in the prolog out as .obj and edited them in Maya 2016, and saved the results as new .obj files. However, I can't seem to get them back into .w2mesh format to put back into the game. I uncooked my files using QuickMod, and converted the .w2mesh to .obj using The Witcher Converter, as I couldn't for the life of me get the .bundles to uncook with just wcc_lite. alone as it keeps throwing this error back at me. ([2017.05.08 22:11:57][Error][Engine] Unable to open collision cache file. No collision cache data will be accessed.[2017.05.08 22:11:57][Error][Engine] Failed to create collision cache 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Witcher_3_Mod_Tools\r4data\collision.cache) Problem is I can't find any means other then wcc_lite to turn the obj back into .w2mesh so I can package it as a mod. I would appreciate it if someone who has done mesh modding for TW3 could help me out, or point me to something helpful as I really would like to see this mod through and hopefully convert all school armors. Many thanks, Shadowphonic
joshjneumann
That looks like the error I got when I didn't put "quotation marks" around directories that included spaces. Or might just have something to do with the directory being wrong? I could be wrong, though. I did see that error somewhere. Could have also been before I was running cmd in Administrator Mode. If checking both those things doesn't help, I have no idea. Sorry :(
Shadowphonic
Okay, good news. Got to grips with wcc_lite (turns out it needs to be started in administrator mode) Managed to get the mesh back into the correct format, and pack up everything into a mod. Bad news, when equipping the armor in game, it comes up as a nothing. So Geralt's head, swords, and hands are just floating in mid-air. I've got a feeling it's because I didn't import the textures when I edited the models or something else I haven't thought of. Could anyone confirm? Shadowphonic
Progress, I have the mesh in the game, but its grey, no textures. (like it's missing the diffuse texture) I've been following this tutorial for blender (Don't normally use blender but there are few tutorials for this kind of thing) http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/569/? I made sure each material was the original and not a duplicate, yet still grey. Any help? Edited May 20, 2017 by Shadowphonic
