zangetsu568
Hi, all. just wondering whats the difference between a Scripted leveled list and a non scripted leveled list as some mod pages would say. How different are they to each other? and will they conflict each other? is a scripted leveled list dynamic that it can coexist with a non scripted one? reason my question is, i have weapon/armor mods that either uses a Script or non scripted leveled list integration, and i'm thinking of making a merged patch in FO4edit to avoid conflicts. also, i'm not that much savy with the modding terms, bear with me and keep it slightly elaborated but simple. Thank you in advanced for your answers. :)
dendonflo
When a mod adds a weapon via a non scripted leveled list, it'll replace the default leveled list by it's own one, which is the default one plus the item added, it's easier to do but the drawback is that it is not compatible with other mods that alter the leveled list, since they'll replace the first mod's list by their own default list plus the item added. A scripted leveled list uses a script that ADDS the item to the already existing list, meaning tat it'll be compatible with other scripted mods. zangetsu568
Dendonflo - thank you for your concise answer. very well, i guess that means that a scripted leveled list is quite dynamic and should coexist with a merged non scripted leveled list. thank you, i will start on my patching right away.
