shotgun188
In the CK, I can find factions for people that you can't marry but I can't find the faction for people that you can marry. If I could find this faction, I could make almost every NPC marriable without console commands. So, does anyone know the name of the faction for people that you can marry? That only non-empty faction that has to do with marriage is called something like "Marriage excluded".
Pescador7
I think the faction with the people you can marry is called PotentialMarriageFaction. If you open it, you will see every NPC that can be married.
shotgun188
I'll try and add some people to it and test it ingame. If it works, I'll upload it.EDIT: I think I may have fixed the Lydia bug. In the list of people in the faction, everyone was marked as 0 while she was marked as -1. Maybe changing it to 0 like everyone else would fix the bug where you can't marry her? Edited February 12, 2012 by shotgun188
shotgun188
I'm going to see if I can marry Lydia with my "fix". I'll have to start a new game though, I already used a command in mine to make her marriable.
Tsewe
...and ? did it work? I'm wondering if simply adding an NPC the PotentialMarriageFaction is enough to make him/her marriable/marriageable whatever. Is it?
jet4571
Not always Tsewe. Some NPC's have settings that exclude them from being able to be married like setting them as a child. There is also the marriageexcludedfaction. Normally yes just adding that faction and having relationship rank as ally will do it.

David Brasher
Some NPCs have quests that need to be completed before you can marry them. So their faction rank in PotentialMarriageFaction is set to -1 which is sort of like "Not in Faction." When you complete the quest, the scripting will set their faction rank to 0 "In Faction." So if you change Lydia's faction rank, you may be able to marry her soon, but her quest will be broken and could be pretty buggy and strange if you encounter it.
