Problems with Male Body Replacer v4 mod

Recommended Posts

I'd extracted the malebodyreplacer v4 to the oblivion data directory. At the start of the game, I activated the 'beautifulpeople.esp' instead of 'malebodyreplacer.esp' as stated in the readme notes. However, when I'm at the character selection, all the characters don't have eyes. So I'm wondering where I did wrong. Currently, this is the only mod I have but thinking of adding in Ren's Beauty Pack, KT Custom Race Fix, Natural Faces.....will it cause any more conflict?

P/s: Im not using OBMM. Doing manual installation.

Anyways, what are OMOD file? I have this female eyecandy body replacer which is an OMOD file.. Why doesn't it need to be activated at the start of the game?

Thanks for any help given!

If you don't have beautiful people then you must activate 'malebodyreplacer.esp'. The other esp is for compatibility if you have 'beautiful people' too, cause beautiful people changes the default eyes meshes (I think..).

Of course it will! The more mods you have the more conflict you'll have. So using OBMM along Wrye Bash and TES4Gecko to merge together compatible mods it's necessary. Using Wrye Bash you can, setting the tags Body-M, Eyes, Hair resolve most conflicts between many cosmetics mods.

OBMM

Wrye Bash

TES4Gecko

An OMOD file it's a file which has an automatic installation script. So it's very recommended using it. You need OBMM to install those.

With OBMM you can run the Archive Invalidation with the 'BSA Alteration' method which is necessary to overwrite the default vanilla content after you've installed any mod which alter it. Such as Robert body or Beautiful people.. A good tutorial is here: http://lhammonds.game-host.org/obmm/tutorials.asp

Thanks for your reply.

I did install OBMM initially but it created problems with Windows therefore I've uninstall the manager. Any advice on this?

About the OMOD, does it strictly need to use OBMM to install? Because the readme stated both manual installation and OBMM installation. Will it work if i used the manual installation?

Thanks in advance!
