bben46
The armor is not gender specific because I tested with a female Breton character. I also used the reward version. Being invisible points to a mesh problem. Have you checked for mod conflicts using the OBMM conflict check function? Wrye Bash has a better conflict checker but is more difficult to set up and work with for non geeks. It may be worth it in this case.
Alaisiagae
As already stated this happens when textures and meshes are not found, or found the wrong ones. As you checked and the files are there, so seems the problem is some type of error on 'archive invalidation' of kind. Since using the txt file is now deprecated, if you have OBMM or another utility that do this kind of job you can try redoing it. On OBMM you would just click on 'Utilities' button, so in Archive invalidation and in the now open window click in 'update now'. Close OBMM, restart the game and good luck.I normally never have to tell OBMM to use Archive Invalidation, it does it all on its own. Anyway, I did tell it to use BSA Redirection. I went in-game, put on the armor, but had no luck. The armor is not gender specific because I tested with a female Breton character. I also used the reward version. So, wait, that means the mod description was wrong, and, despite the female meshes and textures packaged in the mod, there is, in actuality, no female mesh for the armor? As in, it uses the male meshes when equipped on a female player? Being invisible points to a mesh problem. Have you checked for mod conflicts using the OBMM conflict check function? Wrye Bash has a better conflict checker but is more difficult to set up and work with for non geeks. It may be worth it in this case.I ran OBMM's "New Conflict Detector." The mod turned up in green letters, the only "conflict" seems to be that it edits the Guildmaster's Room cell (which makes sense, since it adds an item to the chest). No conflicts with other mods or anything.
bben46
I'm running out of ideas here. Are you enabling both esps? or just one of them?
Alaisiagae
I'm running out of ideas here. Are you enabling both esps? or just one of them?I'm enabling only one .esp. I'm still curious about what you said, that the armor was not gender specific. Would it be possible for me to use the CS to make my own .esp that adds the armor? (If I could give you more than one kudos, I would! I appreciate all of your help, thank you.)
bben46
What I meant was that it is not for male only. There is a female version. Last test on this I noticed 2 problems on my system. First, the portcullis on Glenvar Castle gate has stopped working. And second, the facade of Imperial traders in the IC waterfront is missing. The door is still there and works, but it is standing well away from the wall with no stonework around it. All of the other facades are still there. I don't know if this relates to the Gray Fox armor mod or not, but I have not seen these problems before. Removed mod, both problems are still there. I will get back when I have figured out if these are related or not.

(I hope I didn't mess up your save game! ) My waterfront seems to be fine... what facade are you referring to? Is it an obvious absense? (I usually hang out in the slum area of the Waterfront, so I might not have noticed something missing dock-side.)
bben46
I haven't actually done anything yet. I have been busy in the 'real world' this week with little time for gaming. I have a second copy of Oblivion that I use for modding and I have been in that one when I have any time. My game version has about 70 mods active, so it could be any or a strange combination causing my glitches. I went back to a save from about 2 weeks ago and the Glenvar gate worked. But the facade was still missing. The facade I am referring to is the Shop on the IC waterfront called Imperial Traders. Where it is supposed to be there is nothing but a continuation of the wall, with a door standing out in front and several boxes along the road. The facade is the part of the building that has the windows, stone door arch, roof and architectural details. It is pretty much like the facades of the other waterfront shops. I finished the main quest long ago and only use the game to check out new mods and to test things.
