PrinceofGreece Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I am trying to import something with blender but I get a "Python script error: check console"When I check the console there's this:http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/9606/gettingerors.png I am running on 32 bit Windows 7The software I'm using are(all of them are for the 32 bit version):blender-2.49b-windowsblender_nif_scripts-2.5.8.09855eb-windowsPyFFI-2.1.10.2c30444.win32python-2.6.6 So how do I fix this? Any help is appreciated.
RitualBlack Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I would assume you are importing a Skyrim .nif. Those rarely (if ever) import correctly into blender. Currently you will have to import it into the Skyrim compatible version of Nifskope and than export it as a wavefront format mesh. Than import that mesh into blender.
PrinceofGreece Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 (edited) Seems so yeah. If I change it into an obj though partition gets lost. That's my main problem, partition. My nif only loads if I delete BSdismemberment and I obviously can't do without it.How do I mport a nif without deleting BSdimemberment? Edited February 13, 2012 by PrinceofGreece
RitualBlack Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Is it just a mesh you wish to change or are you working on something more than that? You could always edit the mesh and replace the old one with the new one in nifskope but I am afraid I will not be able to help you if you wish to edit an animation or something. I am not so good at that  .
PrinceofGreece Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 I tried that with the helmet I am trying to add in-game but this being a fuss because you need something called partition.Partition defines the face of the mesh. If you don't create your own partition a random one will be applied and your model will look gibberish in-game.
RitualBlack Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I have not done much with the Skyrim meshes yet but this thread may be useful: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/530086-nifskope-bsdismemberskininstance-partitions/
PrinceofGreece Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 Saw it earlier. Wasn't much help.
RitualBlack Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Ok, sorry I couldn't help you out  . Blender doesn't have nifscripts for Skyrim yet so I am not sure exactly people are doing it. They seem to be assigning them in Nifskope. I suppose it would be easiest to wait for the blender support  .
PrinceofGreece Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 Thanks anyway. Anyone else know a fix or a workaround for this?
PrinceofGreece Posted February 13, 2012 Author Posted February 13, 2012 Attribut error: "This mesh contains no deform verticles..." How do I fix this?
