slayerming2 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 So I'm trying to use fallout new vegas fake fullscreen mod. I know I have to set the mod to windowed mode in the launcher. But when I do the highest I can bring the resolution in 1080p. My monitor is 1440p.So this happens:http://imgur.com/a/A7KmHI went to FalloutPrefs and tried to change theseiSize W=2048iSize H=1152to thisiSize W=2560iSize H=1440But no luck, plus they switch back when I start the game. Any advice on what I should do?
dubiousintent Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 It's always best to provide a link to the mod in question, so we can be sure we are talking about the same one. Be sure to edit both the INI files in the "Users" folder. (Actually I recommend editing all three for something like this, after you make a backup of the "Fallout_Default" file. See the 'Checklist item #3' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.) My suggestion would be to use "OneTweak", which is an NVSE plugin. You set the game display options to "windowed mode" in the screen resolution you want in the INI files, and then the plugin handles the "fake full screen" effect from there. The link given is to the latest version which is in the Skyrim Mods catalog. From the comments there it appears to handle 2560x1440 resolution. You will most likely also want to see the 'Issue: Scope zoom distortion problems' entry in the "Troubleshooting" guide. See the 'Checklist item #4' entry in the same article for ensuring you have NVSE set up correctly. Do let me know if the Skyrim "OneTweak" solves your problem for you, so I can put it into the "Troubleshooting" guide as a "fix" for WQHD resolutions. -Dubious-
JimboUK Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 Try this instead, it works for me at 1440p http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/57843/?
