Reaktorbot3
Sry for my bad englsih and sry for useing wrong terms for different stuff, i am a noob in falloujt 4 modding and makeing stuff on pc in general. My goal was to create a mod which adds a customized version of the 5 combat armor pieces as a standalone and crafable set ingame. Here is my to do list: Standalone items ingame - done Craftable -done Modified stats but armor mods change the sats the same way as the vanilla armor - done Compatible with some mods (legendary carfting, craftable armor size, Armorsmith extended) -done Armorpieces always stay the same model (the medium version) but change stats when a different armor size (light med heavy) is crafted at the workbench (craftable armor size mod) -done Armorpeices always keep the same texture (the shadowed one) but change stats when a different material is carfted at the workbench (vanilla armor material crafting slot) - no idea how to do that  So far i managed to learn everything by looking in the game files, watching tutorials or read stuff in forums. Unfortunatly i cant figure at the last point on my to do list.I found the combat armor color pattern file in the texture folder and think that this is where the game gets the different colors for the different armor materila mods ingame and i have software to open and edit that file, just no idea what to do with it.Again my goal is to have vanilla armor upgrades which change the stats like in the original game but do not change the color. And the default (and only) color should be the shadowed one.Do i have to edit the color pattern file? Or do i need to edit the Combat Armor Material file in the Materials folders? Or the combat armor nif file in the meshs folder?I would really apreciate some help on this one. Some sort of explanation, so i can do it on my own next time, would also be very nice. Deleted15964729User
You can make material swaps using using the color index slider in the ck. No need to edit the texture palette. Just check the vanilla swaps to figure out the diff indexes.
