Brinemobee
Hey guys, im a total Moob (modding noob), i got soo excited at the idea of modding that i did it without really thinking about it. so i installed loads into the data folder manually, and some from steam. and changed a couple of textures as well. but now skyrim wont start. it crashes on the launcher so i cant even get to the data files to remove mods, and i have no idea what i can or cannot touch in the data folder. I have been adding and removing mods loads as some caused bugs that i had no idea how to fix. so now im trying to restore it to vanilla. i removed some .esp/esm files that i thought were mod files. and some strings that i Know were from mod files. so my question is how do i return that folder to its original contents? i will even go as far as restoring my computer to its factory settings if i have to. but i would rather not. I dont mind keeping texture changes and stuff if its too much effort to change, but i would really like to start from scratch now and slowly learn how to install them properly. thanks for any assistance. Khet
Its a bug with the latest steam update. Any mod installed from the Workshop that doesn't have a picture with it, unsubscribe and that should fix it. Lesson learned, don't use the workshop. Jah92pizza
When you click play game, click on data files and deselect everything except for Skyrim.esm. That will turn off all your mods. Nvm Edited February 13, 2012 by Jah92pizza
