poopsicles
That exclamation inside a yellow block means the game can't find the texture file for that item. Whatever mod you installed has separate texture files that need to be in the Oblivion\Data\Textures folder where they can be found by the game. When you download a mod, you should download it into a separate folder - I use Oblivion Downloads. Then each mod should have a folder in there. Move the zipped file into the folder and unzip it there, not directly into your Oblivion\data folder. Read the readme that is usually packaged in the zipped file for any special instructions. If you did this you will have the zipped file that you downloaded and the unzipped version both in that folder. Look in the unzipped files, look for either files with a .dds or a folder labeled Textures. Copy whichever you have into the Oblivion\Data\Textures folder. If it asks about overwriting answer yes. If you let us know what mod it is, we can look it up and tell you what the texture files are. So do i just copt textures?? Or everything else too??? bben46
The regular fixes haven't worked. Lets go a little deeper. What is the mod you are trying to install? What is the object that is not appearing properly? (the one with the exclamation mark) Is there a translucent yellow block around the exclamation mark? What is your unzipping program? What other mods do you have installed? Are you using Vista? Do you have the latest patch installed? Do you have Shivering Isles (and its latest patch)? Do you have OBSE or OBMM?
