GuyInDogSuit
I'm downloading Andromeda again because a mod messed it up. It's slower than molasses. I tried that EACore.ini trick, which did nothing except add "r&d: production" where it normally says "Offline Mode."
UhuruNUru
I've just redownloaded a game, and was getting pretty much my full bandwidth, just like with Steam. My Broadband provider sells me bandwidth in Megabits, because it sounds bigger that way, and you need to do speedtests to discover what you are really getting, and not the upto value they sell it as..Windows. Steam, Origin, and pretty much everything else, reports download speeds in Megabytes, and with 1 byte = 8 bits, you need to divide the bit total by 8. I have 150 Mbit = 18.75 MByte, and I do get that speed in testing. In my quick test, after a short period to build up the speed, which all downloads need,Origin maxed out at 18.5 MB, and never dropped below 18 MB. So the only way it could be any faster is if I got better speed, it maxes out my bandwidth, and I've got a pretty fast connection. It's not Origin that's slow, it's your broadband. As for mods messing up MEA, use thisMEA Recovery Tool (v1.3) by Wavebend
GuyInDogSuit
Well Speedtest.net says it's supposed to be 20-ish MB per second...
