Terry174
Just spent the last two days creating a massive heightmap 4096x4096 divided into 8 equal parts of 1024x1024. The heightmap loads perfectly, I am able to edit the surface, erode, etc. As soon as I am satisfied and attempt to save it crashes. I have saved the .esp before saving the heightmap as directed by another site. (The other site was talking about Fallout's G.E.C.K). I really need help with this. If anyone can help I would appreciate it greatly! Here is the crash log: Description A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows. Korodic
I can't even duplicate worldspaces or make new ones that dont have some kind of faultiness in it's structure.

This is actually really depressing considering the time and effort put into this particular map.
David Brasher
In Oblivion, the heightmap editor required so much memory that many computers could not run it. Do you have a pretty powerful computer?
Terry174
In Oblivion, the heightmap editor required so much memory that many computers could not run it. Do you have a pretty powerful computer? It seems to run it perfectly, just the saving doesn't work. I'm sure most modern computers would be capable of running it for Oblivion anyway. My compuuter is a Core i7 w/ 8GB DDR3 RAM and an ATI series 6 Card.
iroquoispliskin
Has anybody found a solution to this problem? I find it highly unlikely that somebody should be expected to use the landscape editor to create the landscape for their entire realm. I too have been trying to find work-arounds on importing heightmaps but it crashes every time, even when trying to save a heightmap created within the program...
