Ryan5280
I am running Windows 7 64-bit. I need help to stop this problem. Any help is appreciated!
RitualBlack
Just leave it for some time to let it load. If you machine isn't really powerful in the cpu department it will tend to take longer than it would for others. If you are patient it will eventually load up and stop being unresponsive. Furrywolf
I haven't started my creation kit yet! It just stands there eating 25% of my CPU and 6.8GB of RAM in the task manager :( I've been waiting for 20 minutes! Does it take long time cause I have lots of mods? I could run the CK when not using any mods! Then mod the game and then continue with CK if that helps?!
skwerlman
I'm having a similar issue, except that after about 10 seconds, Windows decides that creation kit is broken, and force quits it. Any solutions?
ChappedLocust
I may have found a way to fix this problem. Try loading the Update.esm file alongside Skyrim.esm. The game itself won't function without the update file, so... I guess it kind of makes sense that the Creation Kit would require it, too? kcparongan
Hi I'm sort having a similar problem, Creation Kit just stops working after loading and .esm files, and it quotes; "Creation Kit has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution isavailable." I am not sure if this is because the game is on my (E:) drive instead of my (C:) Drive.
TheOscar0
kcparongan, did you ever find a solution for that? I'm having that problem right now
Deleted1016523User
Funny. My CK truly abhors being in the Tamriel world-space, it has a staggeringly high rate of freezes and crashes there. But when working in interiors or in my own world-space? 100% fine, only risk is when I move stuff around and it happens to duplicate without actually duplicate, then it glitches out when I try to fix that, so I just save instantly and nothing bad happens. This glitch also occurs in Fallout 4. And CPU is not the issue, mine is pretty damned powerful. An i7. And I got 16 G Ram, so that couldn't be it either, the CK is just being b!tchy. And Bethesda clearly doesn't really give a damn, so I am trying to find a fix that will make it less dependent on CPU and more stable. So far, pointless search. YES, waiting for 5 minutes or up to an hour, if not more (hence my annoyance) does work, but it is just so annoying now. I am considering canning my mod due to the CK refusing to work properly. Or putting it on hold for a YEAR OR TWO until I am forced to upgrade my PC to a Win 10. It's just so incredibly annoying... So yeah, I am often asked to either tell Windows to forcibly terminate the entire program, or wait for an hour or two to let even the simplest area to load. And that is --- sorry -- REALLY F*CKING IMPOSSIBLE!!! If it takes THAT long to load a simple area in Tamriel, how come it instantly loads and spawns all the objects in for instance ICECROWN CITADEL?! I am using a staggering 3000+ objects just for the exterior structure, with far more surrounding it as terrain or other structures, and that loads fine. It just looks like it builds itself from the ground and up to the Frozen Throne piece by piece, well, MANY pieces at once. This is jsut soooo dumb...
