Can't get text to show

Hey there folks.

I am having one dilly of a pickle of a problem.


I am working on making a quest-giving NPC mod.

 

And ... I can get the "Dialoge Select" to come up, but then when I select - there is nothing. The conversation camera works, but ... no subtitles.


I don't have voice files worked out just yet.

I'd say there's something wrong to begin with. Why did it take so long for the mapmarker to pop up? Did you really just walk into it, or are things running slowly? I don't see a good reason from the video why it won't fire. Post some pics of the actual convo from the CK.

 

TIP:Best practice is to ALWAYS test your mods with NO other mods loaded. Until you get to the polish stage and you want to find out how they interact with other common mods.

I can only speak to what I see from the video versus your screenshots. Delete all the "EMPTY" dialogues. Is there a reason they exist? I notice you have a lot of multiple entries that look exactly the same. Is there some conditioning or papyrus scripts on them that distinguishes each, from the other? The scenes are a good start, but what I'd really like to see is the screen that shows the conditions an fragments. Even if you just post the one for the first dialogue you tried in the video. I want to see if there's something in that actual dialogue not set right.

So what was the problem and fix for future people with problems? I didn't respond because what I wanted to see was the actual window with the conditions and everything and you never posted.

I posted what I thought people asked for. Nobody said it was Not, so I assumed I posted it correctly.

 

Seems what I needed to do was get rid of the "empty" text options.
