leonardo2
I asked the author here about converting the Breezehome Loft Crafting mod to SSE and still no response from the author (I know I posted my question over a week ago). So I thought I could convert the mod myself for personal use of course, so I checked the permission here and notice the mod had the old policy of Bethesda. Author notesCannot be ported into other games, as it uses Bethesda assets Does that still applies for Skyrim mods here on Nexus? Especially now since Bethesda released SSE in late October last year and doesn't prevent the modding community to convert Skyrim mods to SSE. I bet there are several hundreds mods or there could be thousands mods, that still have the old permission above despite of the recent change by Bethsda regarding their policy about porting Skyrim mods to SSE. ZeroKing
If it's for personal use only, then by all means you're allowed to do so. If you're going to release the mod to the public, you require the mod author's permission. Just because Bethesda has new permission requirements for porting between the old and new versions of Skyrim doesn't mean you can release a ported mod that belong to another mod author without permission (unless they exercise open-source or that they gave personal permission). leonardo2
Did you checked the permission the author had for that mod? If not then I think the permission for that mod is more or less obsolete or outdated. Of course I won't release a converted Skyrim mod without having permission from the original author. agerweb
There is no explicit permission given by the author to allow this mod to be converted and/or changed and reuploaded by anyone else. The author stating what you cant do says nothing about what you can.
leonardo2
Well, as ZeroKing said it I can convert it to SSE for personal use, which I did and it works fine. I do hope that the original author sees this, because I checked the profile and I know the author was online a few days ago.
