Help needed to correct hand placement on rifle.

Recommended Posts

I've been working on a new rifle for fallout 4 and nearly finished.

I used the stock from the hunting rifle. Mod works perfectly so far. The only thing is the hand of the player is set back a way from the handle and trigger. How can i fix this little problem? I don't want to release my work until 100% perfect. So any help and tips will help greatly.

Thank you for your time.

The quick fix would be to move the nif model in nifskope so it aligns closer to the original hunting rifle position. If that does not fix the issue then you'd need to create several animation files for correct hand placement.

Hey there. I thought about moving it in nifscope but i am still very much a learner. So didn't want to just click things.

I created a new rifle using vanilla nifs of all kinds of parts. It works great. Animations work great. So i'm guessing it's the nifscope placement.

The reciever and stock are one-in-the-same. So do i move both together, or will i have to move each nif part i've put into one nif file?

Thanks for your help. :)

I think you can transform their location at the same time in nifskope by right clicking on your mesh and going to the transform option. Make sure to save the file after moving it and the changes should be reflected in the game next time it loads.
