Xoruam Posted February 13, 2012 Share Posted February 13, 2012 If there are any coders out there that are looking for an idea for a mod, I got thinking recently - what if we could create our own books and notes in-game?I'm thinking of something like creating a book/note at the forge (using clean parchments, quill, inkwell and leather most probably) which when you use, opens a window that allows you to type whatever you want in there. Could be a one-time edit or just make it editable whenever you want. Personally I'd prefer the second option. Or - if you're looking for a challenge - you could script it so thata) Whatever you've typed before cannot be edited, you can only add textb) You need a quill (that's infinite) and an inkwell (let's say one inkwell allows you to type 500 characters). In this case, those items wouldn't be used when forging the book, only later, during "writing". It's not something terribly useful and necessary, but could be a cool addon that enhances your roleplaying immersion - writing journals, "to-do" lists etc. Just throwing this out there, because it seemed like an original idea :] Peace.
