A better Handmade Rifle rail?

I don't think many people have asked for this, but I have a real problem with the rail's we've been given on the Handmade rifle, and by that I mean it's a flat piece of metal with absolutely nothing on it.

I know this is more of an aesthetic request, as it still functions all the same, but...Honestly, who could look at that and say; "Oh, it's good"? If it even had some ridges on it it'd be so much better than what we got with the game.
