Need help with troubleshooting, cant find whats causing problems

I have now spent the last week trying to get Skyrim to work with my mods, but it seems that no matter what I do there is always something thats causing problems.

I had problems with anything from mods not working properly, to the game crashing to not even launching.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the game and my mods 3 times this week and every time I do I fix one problem only to have another one rear its ugly head prevent things from working properly and me from enjoying the game.

Now I could really use some help with troubleshooting and solving these issues.

The latest issue surrounds the adaption of children.

I have a custom house outside of Riverwood(White River Cottage).

I head to Whiterun and adopt a child there.

But when I get to my home I dont get the sequence where the child meets me inside the door and thanks me for adopting her.

Instead she just stands in the middle of the house and if I try to talk to her, she says she need to gather her things and say goodbye to everyone.

I waited a full 24 hours + 5 hours ingame and its still causing problems.

I never had any problems with this home before.

I'm also having a problem with a missing carriage driver.

I only just started the game, so have only been to Whiterun and Riverwood, but the carriage outside of Whiterun is missing the driver so I cant fast travel to the other cities like I usually do.

I really want to play, but until these problems are solved permanently I cant play the game

So now I'm hoping someone here can help me because I have run out of both ideas and patience after all this.

A few questions for which I've got that others might ask as well Are you using Nexus Mod Organizer? Are you using LOOT and SSEEDIT to sort and clean your mods? Are all of your mods for SE or do you have some for which are for Oldrim? Because if they've not been ported over to SE then they could cause issues within SE 64 bit . Also have you cleaned all your master files with SSEDIT? Also do any of your current mods for which you are using require Skyse or SKYUI? if so they will not currently work as neither of these programs have been ported over to SE as of yet.

These are just a few of the things for which you can start with. hope you keep us posted on what going on.

I use NMM and LOOT(specified in my previous post that load order was copied from LOOT).

I have not used SSEEDIT as I am not comfortable with editing things when I dont know what I'm doing.

Its not from lack of trying, I just have a hard time comprehending how SSEEDIT works and how to use it and I do unfortunately also get easily confused, so I'm afraid I'll only make things worse if I try.

All mods are for SE, there are no oldrim mods installed, had one earlier this week that ended up preventing the game from even starting so didnt do that again.

None of the mods does to my knowledge use Skyse or SKYUI.

Ok I run LOOT as well as for SSEEDIT every time for which there is an Update for SE. I run loot and if there is nothing for which needs cleaned I still run SSEEDIT as it helps with the Load order in addition to the fact if there is any serious conflicts it should if I remember correctly bring them to your attention.

Now Below is a link to a video Tutorial for which is done by Gopher a great guy who breaks it down into very simple and easy to understand way to clean all of your files. So far the only ones for which I've had to clean is the Master files As the mod authors have been pretty good about cleaning their mods.

Watch the video a couple of times if need be and if need be follow along on the video as you do exactly what Gopher does in the Video. It's how I learned.

Having followed the instructions in the video and cleaned the master files, the problems still remains.

That means there is a mod conflict somewhere, I have tried to disable any mods I thought could cause issues, but so far it has had no effect.

Its always the mod you dont want to be the culprit that is the culprit.

Seems that Immersive Citizens AI overhaul is causing the Heartfire children(the vanilla ones) to just stand around and do nothing.

I'll see if the mod author has anything to say on this.

After removing the Immersive Citizens AI overhaul and the Improved adoptions I'm still having some trouble with the children.

When I adopt the first child, everything works just fine.

But when I adopt the second child, the child never appears at my home.

If I go back to the town/city where I found the child, he/she is not there either.

Its like the child just ceased to exist once I adopted him/her.

There has to be a mod somewhere thats causing problems, but I cant for the life of me figure out which one.

I never had these kinds of issues before, and I'm not using any more or less mods now than I have now.

Is there anyone around here who can provide some help?

Allot of times when you remove mods mid game it breaks the game. That is why I started a play through and I'm adding mods a little at a time and testing them out. That way if I run into a problem I can usually find the culprit more easily

My problem is not removing or adding mods mid game, this is happening when starting a new game.

As I said in my OP I have done a fresh install of both the game and the mods 3 times and each time I start a new game.

The problem I have appears within the first 30-60 minutes of gameplay, and I specifically test to see if the problem is solved before I start a proper play through.
