Kyrene, seeing that the others have gone up one of the other trails, follows behind. When she reaches the spot where the others have stopped, she blanches as the brutality before her, and then twists into an angry grimace.

"Monsterous..." she swears angrily. "These bandits are no better than rabid animals which need to be put down. We need to find the child quickly. I hope that the same fate has not befallen her."

"I say we find those darned bandits and chop them to pieces!"

Morgo breathes heavily. Looking down at the body, he remembers what he found those many years ago.

"I... I am sorry for my earlier outburst my friends. I went blank for a moment... I did not wish to get your hopes up but they girl I saw... I just realised that it was my sister... not the little girl. I was having some kind of flashback."

He looks around. Traisl lead from different directions and the group know that one of them is the one they need.

Suddenly Morgo jumps, "Woah!"

He stops, and then apologises to the group. "Sorry, for I am incredibly jumpy today. But I could have sworn I heard a shuffle."

Forays down the other side paths reveal little, though something about the last one on the right is bothering Zuriel, he just can't put his finger on it. The path that the body was found on continues further into the wood, where it disappears to non-trained eyes after entering a thicket brambles.

Local custom would have you burn the body after next of kin had been able to mourn. You don't think that burning it at this time would be a good idea.

Kyrene looks down at the body and then back at the group.

"This may sound harsh, but I think we should leave the body for now and tend to it on our return. If we take the time to bury it now, we lose that time looking for Julie. The child might not have that time to spare. I do not wish for this girl to join this unfortunate soul in the afterlife."
