Kethruch
June 05, 1048 0807 ZurielYou settle into a good spot to watch the trail down which you believe the rider is coming. After a very short while, your instincts are proven correct as a horse and rider come into view. The horse is a magnificent black beast, who pulls up short as it comes near. Your attention, however, is quickly diverted to the rider. She is by far the most beautiful creature you have ever laid eyes upon. Long blonde hair flows down her back, framing her perfect pale face, well, perfectly. She appears to be tall and slender, yet the arm that holds the reins has an apparent strength in it as well. The Leather armor that covers her torso and drapes open to allow her to sit astride her horse rather than side saddle appears meticulously kept, though the blood stains on it show as darker patches on the reddish material. There are a number of various weapons attached to the saddle behind her, as well as what look like some bags that have been soaked through with blood. "Kellion, what is it?" She asks her horse as it seems to pull up some distance from you. "Do you see something I cannot?" Her voice lilts and practically entraces you - the perfect voice for such a perfect creature. Sol'Kanar
Zuriel's eyes widen a bit at the sight of this beautiful figure. Zuriel is not one for speaking, but at that moment he feels a strong urge to write some poetry for the occasion. Zuriel hesitates, however, as he sees the mysterious bloodsoaked packages. Looking behind himself, he sees no other party members, and doubly hesitates at revealing himself. Finally, he draws out of the brush at a steady walking pace, as to not be seen as an ambusher. Keeping one eye on the entrance back into the brambles for a quick escape, Zuriel hails the raider. "Greetings, lady whose beauty is outdone only by the sun and stars. I apologize for startling your steed, and hope that you do not take me for some bandit. Might we parley, that I could learn more of you?"

Kethruch
June 05, 1048 0809 ZurielThe lady looks at you as you emerge from the brush. She seems not to startle as your skin and clothing change from the mottled appearance of the hues spell to their normal tones. In a fluid move, she draws glaive-like weapon and readies it in a fluid, circular, almost artistic motion. "Who are you, who would skulk about in the underbrush so near a site of ill-repute." she says, even her threatening tone melodic to your ears. "Speak more on why you are here, and perhaps we shall not come to arms." Almost imperceptibly, she urges her horse forward, and the great beast walks slowly to your position. "I am Karina fyrtth Velholm, daughter of Coriadoc, Captain of the Royal Guard of Jocethry. I have recently come to blows with several who were not of the sort that civilized people should want near their dwellings. If you are in league with them, I shall not tolerate to allow you to pester the good souls who are trying to live here." Her speech ended, she awaits your reply. Sol'Kanar
"I am Zuriel, of the Waldkin. I am here by the request of the good people of Caveholm, who have lost their daughter, Julie. It is their need that brings me out to skulk about, for while a daring rescue is well and good, a feasible rescue is much more preferable." Zuriel shifts slowly backward, maintaining the distance between himself and the rider, and wary of the raised weapon. Appearances can be decieving. Kethruch
June 05, 1048 0810 There is a commotion from behind Zuriel as the rest of the party breaks through the underbrush and into the path where Zuriel and Karina are talking. At the mention of the name of Caveholm, however, she lowers her glaive and spins it once, replacing it in the holster on her saddle. "Down Kellion." She whispers, and the horse kneels on its front legs. She casually flips her leg over the beast and dismounts easily. Now standing, you see that she is just under six feet tall, and her golden mane is offset by two eyes that sparkle as pure green as fine emeralds. The huge horse regains its feet, and stands there, towering over her. She approaches you gracefully, unarmed but for a katana in its sheath at her side. She extends her hand, not as a lady, but as a man would, looking to seal a deal. "If that is your quest, milord, then we tread the same path. Though I do it not for the townsfolk, but more for the greater good. You see, I am on my quest, to attain my father's acceptance, so that I may enter into the guards. The only problem is, the quest is not that well defined."
Sol'Kanar
Zuriel returns to his stiff demeanor, taking the offered hand and replying, "I see no reason why we should not travel with you while it suits our quest. Is the bandit camp near? And might you explain why you carry bloodsoaked parcels?"
SimVig
As Solros comes to the path where the conversation is taking place, he stands still and begins listening, not wanting to interrupt Zuriel and the woman. While he listens, he is taking her in with his eyes, looking at everything in order - from her horse to her eyes.

Melisande
Karina laughs a little. "Okay, now that the formalities are over, let's try this again." She walks over to the sacks and unties them from her saddle. She opens tem and dumps them on the ground. A couple of Orc-heads roll free. "I don't know much about bandits, but there sure are a lot of Orcs around." She pauses. "What's going on in Caveholm? I just passed by there recently. It seems like a morgue. And what's this about a girl? Oh goodie! A real rescue!"
