Sol'Kanar
Zuriel wordlessly motions the others to follow him with his bow, slowly proceeding into the cave, and loosening his dirk in its sheathe.
Kethruch
June 05, 1048 0821 Zuriel gets to the rock, and is able to see around the blockage. There is a stairwell that goes down into blackness. It is also dead quiet.

Tilindra Melir
Tilindra takes her position at the back, ready to give warning of anyone coming up behind, and to help where needed, willing herself to disappear into the shadows.
Melisande
Karina pulls a torch out of her pack and lights it using her flint and steel. She offers it up to Kyrene, then assumes a ready position with her katana held two handed and low.
Kethruch
June 05, 1048 0823 The path now well lit, Zuriel sees the stairs are rougher than first expected, and well worn with use. They extednd down and open onto a larger open area. There are torchholders built into the wall, though several of them seem to almost have been torn out of their sockets, the unlit, cold torches hanging as though the slightest breath of air will send them tumbling to the floor. The cool dampness of the site revives his senses, and there is a smell of spoilage, faint, but there, coming on the air wafting up from below. Still, there is no sign of movement, no sign of light from below.
Emry
Kyrene slows briefly and switches from the javelin to her primary weapon, a massive broadsword. Looking over to Karina and shrugs. "It's easier to carry the torch and wield this than the javelin if we get into a fight."
