Sol'Kanar
"Basketweaver! What do you make of this?" Zuriel calls out.
Acoran
"I think that, that cloth would lok pretty ona basket." Karath replys gruffly, as he moves over to look at it. "I don't think bandits would have pretty red scarves. Very likly the girl's. But it survived the flame. If it was hot enough to incinerate a body this woul dhave been burned, even at this distance. I don't beleive anyone was incinerated. I think they knew we were comeing and destoyoed it to make it seem like someone beat us here. Or perhaps someone did beat us to it." Kethruch
June 05, 1048 0829 As Karath examines the cloth, he notices that the cloth is not hanging from anything on the wall, it seems to go into the wall itself. tugging on it seems to do nothing, and, even with this revelation, there appears to be no crack of any kind that would indicate that the cloth was caught in a closing aperture of some kind. Melisande
Karina goes around the room carefully, looking for anything that might be a clue as to what happened here. along the way, she is picking up any papers that have anything close to resembling writing or diagrams on them. "To understand what happened here, I think we first need to know who it was who was here." She says, almost as an afterthought to herself, but loud enough for the others to hear. Acoran
KArath examines the place the wall meets the cloth. and then around the room for any relevnce to the cloth. Still finding it odd that there is a cloth AND no bodies.
SimVig
Solros carefully moves his hands close to the charred wood in the middle of the room to determine if it is still warm. At the same time he sniffs the pile.
Emry
Kyrene wanders over to Zuriel and the mysteriously hanging scarf. Looking at the odd sight she thinks to herself, "Maybe this is Julie's and it was left behind... but how did it get caught here like this? I wonder if there is another passage we need to find the door for.." She begins to carefully examine the floor and wall near the scarf for a pressure plate or hidden latch. Kethruch
June 05, 1048 0831 The wood is cool to the touch, and there are no odors that Solros would consider out of the ordinary for a fire. The wood seems burned all of the way through, though, as the center of even the larger pieces has turned to charcoal. There seems to be nothing that the scarf would have any connection with. In fact, it is the only piece of color in the otherwise colorless room. Closer examination of where the scarf meets the wall shows that there are some of the weaves that actually are half in and half out of the wall. Also, Kyrene finds a discolored spot on the cloth, slightly darker than the rest. It is a small spot, circular in shape and approximately a quarter of an inch across. Her examination of the area around the cloth leads to no other discoveries. Karina finishes gathering up all of the papers in the room, winding up with about fifteen pages. They all seems to be written is some kind of runic language, though there is one word that seems to be pronouncable in the common tongue - PAROIST. Adrian Laguna
"May I see those papers?" The Cerboean asks Karina. If Karina hands over the papers, the Cerboean will try to read them.
SimVig
Solros straightens up with a sigh. "The wood is cold. Whatever happened here happened a while ago. I don't think it has anything to do with us, as no-one would have known our plans long enough to do this and let it 'settle down'. Unless someone was spying on us of course." Solros looks ponderous with a hint of suspicion.
