Kyrene glances over to the new Orcs who came into view. Damn, she thinks to herself, a bow would be really useful right now....

She cautiously backs up (1 square), grasping her male without a father sword with two hands in a defensive postion before her.

INFORMATIONAL POST:

The ground beneath your feet is somewhat sandy in texture, with some small rocks. Tufts of grass dot the area, keeping it from being completely bare. The vegetation in the area is small until you reach the edge of the forest, where the consistency of the soil changes to more of a dark, loamy soil and the conditions for plant growth appear to be much better.

On the map, the green sections are trees (I'm not an artist) with the others being large bushes. Hopefully that helps with what the area is like.

Solros lowers his arms and stops. His stance seems to become more relaxed, as if there was no battle coming. He starts staring at the ground in front of Kyrene, preparing to use his power of moving objects at a distance.

The Cerboean eyes the new arrivals and addresses Morgo and Zuriel again, "On second thought, just move forwards, not towards Kyrene." He then concentrates completely on charging up his spell. The only thing keeping his concentration from being complete, is the weary eye he is casts on the orcs.

The hesitation of the orcs over, they begin to move steadily forward. The three new ones seem to be forming up, while the others seem to be coming forward concentrating on Kyrene.

NOTES ON MOVEMENT:

Your combat move on your character sheet is the number of spaces you can move at normal movement. If you say you are walking forward, this is the speed you will go at.

Combat - you have several options:

1) regular attack - all of your offense is used to try to hit the opponent

2) partial parry - declare portion of your attack to be used in defense. These points are added to your defense score, but are not available to be used for attack. Up to 50% of attack bonus with your weapon may be used for parry. The remaining points can be used for attack.

3) Full Parry - as partial parry with 50% of attack bonus used for defense. As before, the remaining can be used for attack.

Hope this helps - each round you must declare if you are parrying or using another one of your skills (doing it through description will be better than saying - Using power strike) during the combat. I am going to be getting you a full set of skill descriptions so that you can get a better idea of what you want to do. For now, you really only need the attack and parry for combat, though most of the others are self-descriptive if you want to try anything else....

I moved Zuriel to a different position based on my booboo of earlier. Sorry.

The Cerboean looks at the Orcs and smiles when he sees that the three battleaxe wielding ones on the left have bunched up toguether.

"Thanks," he says, mostly to himself, and lauches the spell so that it lands near the Orc in the middle and the spell's area of effect can hit all three.

He then proceeds to charge up a Lesser Lightning Cloud.

Kyrene, upon hearing Karina's yell, let's loose a blood-curdling shout of her own and charges the orc carrying the longsword before her. Blood pumping hotly and with a slight ringing in her ears, she sprints across the ground and savagely slashes at the midsection of the orc before her.

The Jorian hops into a gallop and he and Karina ride quickly toward the first of the orcs. The orc sees the big horse coming and moves to Karina's off hand side. With a deft maneuver, she posistions her katana and slices over the back her steed, slashing down and away at the orc. The blade catches the orc across the chest and it staggers back slightly, rendering the orc's attack ineffective. (MAR-108/BCrit52)

Kyrene's charge into the leader, her male without a father sword swinging through the air is matched by a cry and charge from the leader. The ring of steel on steel echoes as they meet, the weight of the male without a father sword proving more than the longsword can take. The longsword snaps on the contact, and the male without a father sword continues through its arc and slams home into the orc's chest, stopping him in his tracks. Non-plussed, the orc fumbles for a second weapon, but the opening is there for the taking.(OrcMAR- -97(Fum02), (KyreneMAR=111/BCrit68)

On the left, the Cerboeans spell fires off, and hits its target perfectly. A whirling orangish-red cloud begins to form, with licks of flame visible through its opaqueness. The cloud quickly gorws, engulfing a bout a 10'x10' area, engulfing the approaching orcs. Within seconds, the orcs come charging out of the cloud, burns apparent over their equipment and some parts of their bodies. They quickly re-form, and once again begin their march forward. (MSR=145,RR58,47,92)

The other orcs, seeing the charge of their leader, are following suit.
