Arcangel II

Kyrene quickly climbs off the orc and shakes her head to clear any mental cobwebs from her. If there are no other orcs around her immediate area, she will continue towards the hut. She hopes to peer into it and get "a lay of the land" before her next move

"About time a lightning spell worked," the Cerboean says to himself as the archer collapses, he then takes a breather (OOC: Already taken, represented by not posting after Kethruch posted the result of the spell).

After that, the Cerboean moves further down and to the east (I'm assuming the top of the map is north), looking for targets.

Karina looks over at the shadow of a figure she thought she saw. Damn she thinks to herself. "wish I had my polearm with me." She looks down at the orc, trying to determine what to do next. She is torn between the thought that orcs are bad and the thought that this was a defenseless creature before her. Torn for about a second that is, before she orders Kellian to ride over the orc as she reaches down and attempts a killing slash with her katana.

Kyrene peers into the hut, the sights and smells of which almost sicken her. There are three dead orcs within with open, maggot-filled wounds, and the area is full of flies and other insects. From this distance, Kyrene believes she might actually see that some of the wounds might have been made by some kind of large bites.

Karina's slash does its work, opening a long wound down the back of the orc. The orc collapses forward as if kowtowing to some unknown god.

Just that fast, the conflict appears to be over. No other remaining combatants seem to be making anything even resembling an offensive move, and the other one that Karina had engaged has enough of a lead that none feel theyhave any chance of catching it before it is long gone over the hill.

Kyrene gags as the stench assails her. Holding her arm across her nose and mouth to block any fumes, she looks around, to see if there is anything of value or something that might point to the missing children being here.

Karina looks longingly at the orc escaping over the hill. She scans over the field to see if tehre is anything else that she can help with, then, finding herself in the best position to do so, rides the length of the valley to see what is at the back where it curves around. Funny, she thinks to herself. If all orcs were like this, they'd be the stuff of jokes instead of frightening tales

Karina rides around the hill to find a small enclosure. By small, we're not talking the size that a man would hide in, more likely a chicken or small dog.

Kyrene finds nothing of much interest, but then, she probably was a little preoccupied keeping her breakfast down. (Kyrene - observation 47, locate hidden 17)
