ungulate34
I've been having a whole heap of trouble trying to get Fallout 4 and it's mods to work properly. For context I haven't played Fallout 4 for about six months. I decided to pick it up again today and it initially gives me the "this saves relies on content that is no longer available" and then lists every one of my mods. I opened NMM and fiddled around with it (un-enabled/re-enabled mods, updated mods ect) and the error went away. However, when I go into the game none of my mods are running. All are checked and enabled on NMM. I downloaded LOOT and when I boot it up from Nexus Mod Manager it only detects Fallout4 and the DLC .esm files. I've gone into the Fallout4.ini files and checked to make sure the "bEnableFileSelection=1" is there (it is) as well as the [Archive] lines in the Fallout4Custom.ini file. Both NMM and Fallout are in the same drive, so no conflicts there. I've attached screencaps of my nexus mod manager. Please help if you can. I've looked at just about every troubleshooting forum topic on every website there is.
greekrage
Its VERY important that you have also setup proper PATHS for NMM so it knows where to store and load mods from.Having them on the same drive means nothing of you dont direct NMM to the proper folders as well. If you dont setup paths NMM goes and creates a dummy folder and installs everything there hence the game cant see that folder and mods will not load. http://prntscr.com/fazo6g Edited May 23, 2017 by greekrage

My confusion lies in the fact I've been playing fo4 without any sort of mod trouble for a year so I'm not sure what went wrong. But anyways. I've screen capped both my virtual folder set-up as well as the settings. When you mean dummy folder do you mean "D:\Games\Nexus Mod Manager\Fallout4\Mods" and if so should it be moved to where the fallout4 folder is itself (under 'steam/steamapps/common/fallout4/mods'?)
