WoogieMonster
Hi welcome to the Nexus. If OBSE is compressed, you will have to extract it. Once the files are unzipped, you should see a text document named ReadMe or Instructions, that will tell you exactly where to put the files.Once you have done that, and installed/activated your mods and are ready to play, DO NOT start the game by clicking the Oblivion icon. Instead, click on the OBSE file. It will start and then it will immediately launch the game for you. Then just play normally.
bben46
First, what Woogie said. Then, OBSE is not a mod and does not install like a mod. It is a separate program that must be started before Oblivion. You MUST read the installation instructions to get it right. Then you MUST use either the included OBSE launcher to start OBSE and Oblivion or one of the other launchers that will start it first every time you start the game. ( I use the one built into OBMM) Once you do this you will not notice any difference in your game, except those mods that require OBSE will now work. The latest version and instructions (documentation) are available from the author's site , Here: http://obse.silverlock.org/
