Rennn Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Is it possible to make doors invisible but still useable in the CK? For example, I want the player to be able to click on a window to enter the building, but I need to keep the actual door hidden.
Babageee Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 you could do it by editing a door model in nifeskope and making it see though. and then all the collision data etc would still be there.
Sunnie Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 You could use the Katariah chain door activator, scale it to be the size of a pull chain?
Babageee Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 yeah but you can still see that - tell you what give me ten mins and ill make you one -
Babageee Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 ok all done - just tested it in CK and all works - i can send you the file or upload - you just need to swap out the model for the wrdoorload02 - do you know how to do this?
Rennn Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 (edited) I click on the model button and find the new model? Thanks, btw :)I didn't expect so much help. You can upload it as a door resource on the Nexus if you want. That might be easiest. Edited February 14, 2012 by Rennn
Babageee Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 no worries was straight forward really - just going to test it in game first and then ill be back with the details.
Babageee Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 ok sorry was working out how to upload the file to nexus never done that before - all there now http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9679 all you need to do is edit a copy of wrdoorload02 edit base change ID to something like Invisible Door so as not to make all these doors Invisible I guess change the name to window and then edit model find and replace with the one you want and thats it ive done one animated and one static as there are a couple of funny shiny bits on the animation i could not get rid of, anyway i put it in there as they might look ok with the window behind, enjoy
Rennn Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 (edited) Thanks :)I don't think a few shiny parts will be much of a problem. It'll certainly be many times better than my current impromptu system of using auto doors. +1 Edited February 14, 2012 by Rennn
