Uploading mods to Nexus

Hey.

I just created a mod and tried to upload it to SkyrimNexus. It's my first mod, and therefore also my first upload. Something went wrong, and it looks like the mod is not working for anyone else, as you can see in the comments:

I think that it might be because I uploaded it wrong. It was created with the Creation Kit, and I just uploaded the esp-file... but I think that the script I wrote for the spell to work might not have been saved to that file, but somewhere else. Anyone know what to do to make the file work? Please help.

So I should make a zip file with the esp and a folder named scripts that contains the script file, and then it should work?

it would look like this:

GetNPCInfo.esp

scripts/GNPCIScript.pex

what about this file:

scripts/Source/GNPCIScript.psc

I just had the same problem with one of my uploaded files. When you get your file properly archived and ready for packaging, you will see that you have a .bsa file in your directory with the same name as your .esp. You will need to upload both the .esp and the .bsa file to TES Nexus.

In Oblivion, it was common practice to package files in a bunch of directories like meshes and textures and sounds. But we don't have TES4Files to use, so I am guessing that with Skyrim, the best way to package files will be to use the CK to generate a .bsa.

How would I upload a music mod? I'm basically changing all the music to stuff that I think fits for the battle/situation/town, would I zip the file and tell people how to install it? I'm still new at this. Edited by shadowviper1229
