silhouett
I know that you can collect bones etc from the dragon you kill and they are worth money but can they be used for anything in the game ? http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/rolleyes.gif

thesapien
Yeah, dragon bones and scales are pretty useless through most of the game. Towards the end, but only if you've maxed out smithing up the perk tree, can you finally make something with them, however, the end result it really hard on the eyes. Nothing kewl like snakeskin or resembling a dragon. Instead, your character just looks like a turtle. Fail.
ScrollTron1c
As mentioned, they're used for creating Dragonplate and Dragonscale armor, and also for improving them on the workbench. See http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Dragon_Bone#Dragon_Bone There also is a Blade quest by Esbern involving them. Other than that, they're useless given the weight/value ratio and at least on my mage char, i never picked them up at all. Ferodaktyl
of course, you can always install some mods that make use of otherwise useless bones
ScrollTron1c
Well, i would put some of them on display in one of my houses, but the bug with items placed by the player probably still wasn't fixed :P

I agree that the Dragon plate and scare armors look pretty bad but it's not necessarily an end game thing though. It's rather easy to get your smithing skill up and be a master Smith before reaching lvl 30. Even before lvl 20 if you're realy into it .
natelovesyou
I'm a little blown away that some people still haven't figured out to Google things. Or use the game's wiki. Or search the forums. WTF.
silhouett
My Grand mother use to have a saying "if you have nothing good to say then don't bother saying it" Basically any one on this forum could Google it... what would be the sense in the forum then ?http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/wallbash.gif I'm a little blown away that some people still haven't figured out to Google things. If you focus on smithing, yes, you could even be ready to make some dragon armor before killing your first dragon. I wouldn't even think to suggest it would be hard, either. Nor would I say it is necessarily a "wrong" way to play. However, I think that leveling and perking, generally speaking, ought to be progressed as you play so you feel like, well, you're progressing. Final perks early on kind of takes away a nice element of the game. It's similar, if not the same, as when players cheat or kinda cheat. Life just then feels like it's missing something in Skyrim.
