Shabdez
Are the modified ini files in the correct location?I´m using MO2 and have a copy of the two ini files in both "documents\my games\skyrim special edition" and the MO2 profile folder.
homeyjay
The modified ini files are in Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition. Ive not added them anywhere else though. The only other place I can see is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\ which contains a SkyrimPrefs file too
Shabdez
If you are not using MO2, the documents... path is the correct one.Does the game only ignore the resolution or all the settings you made wirh bethini. A quick way to check would be the Intro Movie thing. Turn it on and start, then turn if off and start.
homeyjay
No, it only ignores that single resolution. Everything else that Beth.ini sets is fine.
Shabdez
Weird, sorry I can´t help. Is the resolution selectable from your operaton system or graphic card´s display setting menu?
homeyjay
No worries. The 1440 resolution is available in regular windows but that's a different graphics card - the intel 520, I think. as the Alienware is a dual graphics machine, the 1070 is only used in games and I think that where the problem is - that card doesn't seem to offer that resolution with this 4k display. I'll contact Alienware and see what they say. Thanks for trying though!
Shabdez
The Intel 520 is the on-board graphic card. AFAIK, this does nothing when the PC also has an "external" graphic card. Your 1070 should do all the work.
homeyjay
Yup, the 1070 should be doing all this easily. I can get 40 fps at 4k so 1440 should be easy for it. I just need to work out why its not working!
