Difficulty with blender moving to CK- invisible clothing

Hi, I've been trying to make custom clothing in blender for the first time. I've adhered to the Nexus Skyrim armor tutorial pretty well but when moving the clothing to the CK it's fine until worn where it becomes invisible: as shown here. It seems fine in Nifskope and Blender here.

 

Without the bsdismemberskininstance the file loads fine into the game but, obviously, remains static. So presumably the problem is something to do with the skeleton? I've tried custom lightingshaderproperties from the tutorial and copied from other meshes, and all have varying levels of success in the preview or ingame, so I can only assume it's the dismemberment file. I took the original mesh from Sheogorath's outfit and before exporting added the skeleton from malebody_0, was the correct or should I import the skeleton from Sheog's clothes? Similarly when I imported the skeleton it wasn't aligned with my mesh, so I had to manually move it as accurately as I could. Could this also be a problem? :wallbash:

 

I know this is a pretty vague description for a widespread error, but any other ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
