Pharoahe
So I really want to make a character who specializes in shields, hand to hand and pretty much nothing else. In order for that to be viable I feel like there needs to be a mod that adds a few things. -Perks New perks to the skill tree that increase damage done with shields, and this damage could scale with better shields. New abilities such as shield combo attacks and a shield throw ability, though these abilities shouldn't be too high in the skill tree so this setup is viable at a decent level. -Abilities Shield throw. So this would work like a boomerang, if even possible to implement in the game. It would be a smooth transition to having it be in your hand, throwing it at the enemy and have it return to your hand ready to be used again to block, attack, throw whatever. So in this window you're vulnerable to attack So with this I'd also like to see 2 different kinds of throws. A wide arc throw, good for outdoor areas where there shield travels in a wide circle back to the player. Here I'm wonder how difficult it would be to make the shield return to a moving player and not just a static one. Anyway as for the second throw a more narrow dart throw if you will which is good for more confined areas such as hallways. Collision might be an issue, but ideally the shield throw should be pretty forgiving but also require a little bit of finesse. So really that's about it. All in all I just want to be able to use a shield as both an offensive and defensive weapon and have it balanced and smoothed enough so it feels useful in the game to use as any other weapon. As you might imagine I really don't know much about modding, so my requests may or may not be a lot to handle but I would appreciate any feedback and I thank you for your time. Pharoahe
Upon further review one type of throw is probably all that's needed. A quick narrow throw will really get the job done, and I don't see a lot of room to work with the control schemes to add 2 variations. Does anyone care about this idea though?
