Priest524 Posted February 15, 2012 Share Posted February 15, 2012 (edited) Hello all, I am trying to make some armor mods but cannot export .nifs from 3ds max. Every time I export it CTD with an error message of "3DS Max has stopped working, would you like to save your work?" I am new to modding meshes/textures but from what I have found it's because I am stumbling around changing verts and weights...etc. Basically what I am doing is importing the Dark Brotherhood torso _0 and the Thieves Guild torso _0, taking the kit(shoulder piece/pouches/straps...etc.) from the Thieves Guild torso and putting on the DB torso. I have been through every tutorial I can find and scoured the forums for something similar but I can't find anything that really touches on this. Not to mention I have yet to get any mod what so ever working in game, even while following the tutorials to the letter... Anyways thanks for any advice, I will post some screenshots later. Found that this issue is usually a BsDismemberment issue, I copied over the modifier from the body to both pieces of armor, still CTD on export. Not sure if that is right?
