playingskyrim
The link below is to a pic of foundation blocks. Textures from a building and some surrounding flora to back, right of it are showing on the blocks. It only seems to happen when looking in certain directions, and it doesn't depend whether it's day or night. Anyone know what might be causing this? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/Images/77389/? Thanks.
TheGadget1945
That looks like the issue which has seriously affected my previous Vault 88 builds where I have disabled rocks or debris to get more building space. In my latest build I haven't done this and the scrolling effect doesn't happen.
playingskyrim
Thanks for the reply. I've disabled quite a few things. If that causes the issue, then that's most likely it. Another thing I noticed is that it's only happening with water behind me, while facing south and west. It doesn't happen in the middle of the island, regardless of which direction I'm facing. I did disable a bunch of stuff in the water on the north and east side of Spectacle Island. Will keep this in mind in the future. Thanks again. Phoenix46
From everything I've read, this is caused by having too many settlement items your PC is trying to draw in the direction you're facing at the time. I had this happen in certain areas in my Vault 88 build where I was at the edge of the main vault cavern looking through everything I'd built. I had a cafe/restaurant that had a TON of furniture and decorations in it, and if I stood at the back of the room and faced forward looking through all of it AND the rest of vault structure in that direction this would happen. It would only happen if you turned at just the right angle of view though. Now, does anyone know WTF causes this? https://goo.gl/photos/brHCXYv3pNwULbed7 I'm assuming it's a missing/corrupted material or texture, but I really have no idea? It could probably be fixed by reinstalling a mod or something, but I have no idea which one. Edited June 1, 2017 by Phoenix46
playingskyrim
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I have a ton of stuff on Spectacle Island. I've never seen what's in your pic. My guess you mentioned already, a bad texture file or maybe a materials file with bad file references. Thanks again.
