ChrisVee
Hi guys, I recently tried installing the Fallout Character Overhaul mod, but since my PC crashed during its installation, it created corrupt files. I thought I had gotten rid of all its files by going into the New Vegas folder and erasing everything under "FOC", including the extra companions. But then I opened Nexus Mod Manager and got a pop-up that said, "Error loading the following mods: D:/Games/Nexus Mod Manager/FalloutNV/Mods/Fallout Character Overhaul 3.0.rar". So I deleted that file, downloaded FOC again and after it's finished, I just get another error message that says, "Error registering this mod: Fallout Character Overhaul 3.0Error: Root element is missing." Any idea on what I can do to remedy this? I
dubiousintent
If you install something through a "mod manager", you should uninstall it through that same mod manager so it cleans things up correctly. When you manually deleted FCO files, you broke things for NMM. It doesn't matter which mod was the object in question. This is now really a NMM problem ("Error registering this mod:"), so you need to take this issue to the "NMM Open Beta" forum. -Dubious-
