Alaisiagae
*cries* You mean... you mean you can get more than 1 frame every 5 seconds?! :teehee: I think updating my drivers made Oblivion run worse... Anyway, I think that the Self Shadows look absolutely hideous. I like to see distant land and objects, but I had to turn off the trees to increase my performance. Since this is really the only next-gen game I've been playing, I'm still wowed by the graphics, even if they aren't maxed out and I'm still using vanilla textures for landscapes. SGTBOB
well the king you need to realize that i was 15 when i got the computer i have now loli just did tons of work i was working on earning that 800 bucks for at least 2 months of non-stop slave labor now i think im going to use all ive learned and just start selling gaming rigs because some peaple feel intimidated by the simplicity of assembling a simple desktopand i remember when i thought that halo 3 was the best graphics ever then i saw oblivion and i was like wow what was i thinking?!?(this was on the 360 version too lol) then i saw gears of war and i though wow nothings going to top that except gears 2 and then i saw crysis on my computer cranked up everything as high as i could and crapped my pants :pinch: it seemed so real that i felt as though i could reach right through my monitor and grab that gun he was holding but alas many attempts and i aways get deflected by this invisible barrier known as reality:(and king im amazed you can at all tolerate vista my parents got a laptop with vista and i couldnt get crap done!!its always asking "are you sure" questions and makes everything "user freindly"but it sucks balls this is why i dont get macs user freindly is not my freind whatsoevernot to mention its security measures what a jokeit can get infiltrated by a virus just as easily as xpim tired of it always asking for a password every time i click properties and it always checking for freaking licenses! ill try and play a flash movie I MADE and say i dont have proper licensing to use my own freaking software! and it drags performance to the point that my computer running vista loses nearly half the fps just because of vista and its excessive number of always on applicationsok ok im done ranting but you two should really think of making a desktop computer i mean ive already done the research and id have no problem helpin you out in getting a pimp desktop id say for ummm 200 bucks i could have your comp running oblivion at highest settings (not a guarantee but a worthy guess) wow lol this is a really long post :ermm:

holt100
Gahh! What the hek. How can I spend more money and have worse results! :wallbash: 80 fps! That's at LEAST 5 times faster than mine, and my fps changes constantly.Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
PaperTiger74
I don't know what your graphic card's control center looks like (I use Nvidia), but it could be worthwhile to fiddle a bit with the more advanced features like anisotropic filtering. I have found it to improve greatly on mid- to longrange texture rendering, especially after I installed Qarl's texture pack (tweaked version). Up close it doesn't do much difference though.
