ideas taken off movies

last night i couldnt sleep, so i stayed up (its a normal habit) and decided to see whats on TV, i saw this movie called Dark Angel : The Ascent, its quite a weird movie, a girl from hell who is the daughter of a angel and a dark angel or something like that, has been brought up to kill those who sin, yet she is a sinner herself, being a dark angel, it doesnt matter, anyway, the movie moves on to her killing these two guys trying to...rape...a woman in the cemetary, the dark angel, known as veronica, gets quite angry, so she impales one guy with a big steel thing, and rips out the spine of the other guy, i began to think this was one of those gore movies, so i kept watching, as the story progresses i began to think...wait, this is similar to that game BloodRayne, except your a vampire and its in the 1940's, the movie progressed to the police chasing her around, while her and her boyfriend who does not have a clue, go out for the night, eventually, she makes one of the policemen think he is in hell for 5 minutes, and she is free to go from the murders, she then tells him the truth, after feeding the dog a peice of the human anatomy (no, not down there) she tells him she is a dark angel, and as they are....going at it...she begins to change and he ignores it, she gets stabbed, gets healed in heaven, comes back, happily ever after, so on.

 

but, what really caught me, was the actor looked EXACTLY like Agent Rayne from the game BloodRayne, red hair, down to shoulders, same attitude, always expressionless, it was quite interesting to see how two characters relate.

 

ive come across many other ideas for games, or ideas implemented to a game, such as the movie Intruder, these two guys are holding one guy back while he gets half of his head chainsawed off...uhh...but, ive seen the exact same thing occour in a game called Ethnic Clensing, a racist game, made by a punk record company, and the same thing would happen in that as they would in many gore movies.

 

and heres one to surprise you ultima fans (especially number 8), you know the town Tenebrae you are in throughout the game, they didnt come up with that, there was a Spanish gore film called Tenebrae, almost banned because of a scene when a woman in a white room has her hand hacked off then...you get the picture, but yeah, ultima 8 was in a spanish reigon, and tenebrae was a spanish movie, so it made sence.

 

anyone else come across a similar thing, or any thoughts?

I cant tell which one came first, but Im sure every one of us has noticed it.

 

Starship Troopers=Starcraft without the Protoss. Right down to Ghosts carrying nukes, Battle Cruisers etc.
