Shader/nifskope alchemy problem

I have made a sword in Blender and textured it in Photoshop CS2,

but when i put it in game the texture is pink, and when i equip it, it is on my back (its a one handed short sword)

and when i draw it, it stays on my back and there is nothing in my hand, also in the menu it shows through my charactor.

i think it might be a shader and/or nifskope alchemy. any help would be much appreciated. :)

More like you imported the mesh into the wrong weapon .nif, and didn't fix any of the links. The weapon mesh must be the same weapon type as you're wanting, 1 hand for 1 hand, 2 hand for 2 hand. Having similar proportions or materials is an added bonus. Next the new mesh needs to be linked to the existing weapon's ninode. Then the existing weapon mesh needs to be removed. Then the linked textures for the weapon need to be directed to a related file within the data folder. Then that texture needs a normal map. You will also need to define that weapon as being a 1 or 2 handed weapon (the same as the .nif) within the CS.
