Jopon
I've been working for two days trying to get some kind of flight system in place. Been trying some way out there methods, and it seems like everything i try has safeguards in place just to prevent me from making any kind of flying mod. They preventing us from flying so they can release it in dlc or what?
Mansh00ter
Hard to say without specifics. What kind of safeguards?
jimhsu
No. If anything, they've facilitated the process of making a flying mod (e.g. with the TranslateTo function, etc). However, it will take some time to work out the quirks of the new language. The flying mod for Oblivion didn't come overnight. And as for animations ... well, Havok is complicated. I'll leave it at that. Edited February 16, 2012 by jimhsu
Jopon
Its not the graphics i am having problems with. I have managed to get my guy mounted on a dragon and walked around the world space. as soon as i try to do anything even remotely like flying the game either a) crashes or b) kills me and my mount. If you are triggering flying via the dragon, the default approach isn't going to work because the player actor is marked non-flyable. Currently I have no idea how to change this. As this is a new feature (we never had real flying creatures before / cliffracers don't count), not surprised that they haven't thought of that. Mansh00ter
Though just looking at the new animations people manage to import into the game, such as Killmove Plus mod, and how quickly such mods became available, I think we're going to see some fantastic things in the future animation-wise. Elec0
The Killmove Plus mod didn't import in any animations, it only enabled ones that Beth disabled before launch for whatever reason. But I think it only has to do with that we haven't figured out all the quirks of the CK yet. Just be patient, it'll come.

Just have to be creative about it and use the resources they give us: http://youtu.be/7mlUTQ2jTTg
Jopon
yeah thanks for the double post cause this really needed its own post. That's a no clipping mod is buggy as hell and pretty much useless. you can set movement speed to 9001 and get close to the same effect too, its not flying its super buggy glitching. you cant control vertical movement at all with this "flying".
