nordicsavage
Hi guys.. Ok this might sound weird but as i was playing skyrim yesterday i noticed some strange wave liked lines are appearing in the night and day sky sometimes i even see them moving upward, its like as if someone threw a rock into the water but the small waves caused by the impact are moving the opposite direction. I'm pretty sure that i haven't seen them before until yesterday. at first i thought that a mod is behind the problem and restarted every mod i had installed earlier but now i know that it has nothing to do with mods :wallbash: :wallbash: . can anyone tell me whats this about? is there a fix for it? thx
NoobusExtremus
My guess is it's the banding and dithering due to the limited color pallete used for the sky. Perhaps if you could change the colors so there is less of a color difference between the zenith and the horizon, there would be less (if any) banding. thesapien
Are you sure it's not from a mod or something like ENB you might be using? Some of these allow adjusting the intensities for the horizon, mid sky, and top sky all separately which could result in overly contrasted skies that can create similar artifacts depending on your graphics and monitor. If not, maybe you just have your monitor set for too much bling, often done by manufacturers for showroom showing off, with gamma, contrast, and/or saturation over done so there's a loss in fine gradients and a big gradient starts to have waves of bloom. Problem is that if your eyes are accustomed to the extra bling, then the corrections will probably look less impressive to you at first. My more pro monitor always looks kind of less WOW than my fun monitor with gloss. But my pro monitor can also still make out detail in even very dark scenes.
