Stormcloaks = Nazi+Taliban!

Well seriously, i greatly prefer the original in the game. This just seems like a popmusic adaption to me.

how do stormcloaks = nazi + taliban? seriosuly, this is the ignorance of people who dont know history, dont know the game through and just say stupid stuff

if you listen closely, you notice that the THALMOR have taken racial actions (especially among the woodelves) so they are the ones most "nazi"like

the stormcloaks are definetly taken from the idea germanic vs roman empire, so 1900 years before nazism. and even if we ignore that, they would be more nationalists of the early 20th century (remember nationalism has 2 defintions. one of them is seeking a home country independent of a foreign force, which would apply to the stormcloaks)

but if you compare stormcloaks to nazis, you seriously have no idea what nazism, nationalism, or skyrim is about

The germanic word "Volk" (people) means a bunch of people who follow ("folgen" in german), so everyone who wanted to join them was welcome. They never cared about the origin of anyone, and the idea of "Aryans" and "Blood&Honour" is a myth from the 18th and 19th century - these things were never part of the ancient germanic culture.

Contrary the Stormcloaks in Skyrim are ideologically more like the modern Nazis, because they see all other races as inferior and try to achieve supremacy through destruction or enslavement of all non-nords. Or you can also compare them to the Taliban, who - from their own perspective - are "defending their country" against invaders and oppressors to maintain an archaic form of culture and government by any means necessary.

Other than that, the game only borrows some rough stylistic features from the romans - clothing, language, things like that. Apart from that, there's no relation between real history and the game. Also, the Nord in Skyrim are obviously the norse people from scandinavia ("vikings"), which are related to the germanic people - but the latter already migrated to central europe many centuries before roman times.

a few things:

after your definition any form of rebellion can be compared to the talibans? george washington, che, bolivar etc. all are comparable to taliban due to the fact that they are "defending their country"?? ironically you state that they are defending an arachaic form of culture and government. 1) what do you define as an archaic culture?? 2) the empire of cyrodill is pracitcally dead and falling apart. IT IS the archaic government form (like the western roman empire) it failed to protect its citizens and just gave them up to the thalmor. so I would argue the empire is archaic

you state that there is no realtion between real history and the game, yet you came to a certain point of view, which combined these two elements (nazism +taliban = stormcloak) you do realise you are being a huge hypocrit here?

also: almost everyone percieves himself better than the other one. look at real life examples and game examples: the thalmor, the dark elves, the imperials all have said/stated and done stuff due to their "superiority" over another race. hence, almost all races in skyrim are nazis. and real life examples? mitt romeny stated in public that america has similar genes to europeans, but theirs are superior. many americans (just like germans, british, french, russian ETC ETC) believe they live in the best country in the world and hence are supirior. after you definition then almost everyone is a nazi!

the problem you are having, is that you are analyzing the nords rebellion in a very superfical way, hence you gain these extreme weird conclusions. As I stated before, look up the definitions of nationalism ,and you will see what the stormcloaks are (definetly not nazis)

oh and btw: people have thought that they are superior to everyone else since the DAWN of man. so it kinda predates nazism.

good day
