NPC don't receive explosion damage from their weapons.

I don't know but I noticed same thing with my custom faction:

 

1. NPC from my custom faction is hostile to me and throws grenade at me

2. Caravan Doctor is right next to me

3. I take damage

4. Caravan Doctor doesn't care and takes 0 damage.

 

I guess there is some kind of "protect allies" type of hidden damage reduction. I have no idea what the rules are, since companions can kill you with grenade etc, but you are not in same faction, so I guess it makes sense. Your factions just are allies.

 

 

Edit: But I have this happen too: I had 2 guys in same faction and I turned them hostile to each other by accidentally having wrong crime faction on them and they had no problems killing each other.

 

So I guess explosives have rule that says something like this: "do not damage guys in same faction, unless they are hostile to me".

 

Edit: I just realised those caravan guys are not in my custom faction, so yeah, I don't know, sorry for spamming this thread.

Some time ago I tried to figure it out with Sentrybots (shoulder launcher). Played with factions. I did not find a solution. It's not right.

 

Ok then, I'll replace Fatmans with Rocket Launchers, cause nukes are too powerfull and it's not fair if there is no friendly fire damage.
