seashell
I am working on some spells and sometimes the spell costs are not shown properly as "per second". Does anyone have an idea why that is? I created a new magic effect that is used by the spell (see attachement 1) it has basically the same properties as the effect that heals you (heal spell), but it is of course detrimental, also it is an area effect and it affects only undead = burns all undead around you as long as you press the button. The spell itself refers to this effect just as the "heal" spell does. but no matter if I set the spell duration to "0" or to "1", the costs dont show as "per second". As for the effect of the spell it doesn't matter if it is 1 or 0, because it is a concentrated effect, I could also use "no duration" for the magic effect, but that too doesn't make the spell costs in game show up as "per second". What can I do?

cscottydont
does it still cast correctly in game? There was another thread on the BethSoft forums about inconsistencies with the auto spell descriptions on modded/custom spell effects. I think the consensus in that thread was that its either an editor or a game bug.
seashell
In game the spell is cast correctly with mana cost per second, but the spell description does not show it as "per second". The strange thing is that it once DID show correctly, but I made further changes on the magic effect to adjust range and damage as well as visual effects (hit shader and such), and then it went back to just show "cost 12" or something. Maybe a bug is the reason, I will check that BethSoft forum, do you have a link to there?
