nisen
hey does anyone know why theyd make it available on Steam, its not like you cant download it directly from geck.bethsoft.com Assume if it downloads the same exe which installs all the same, itd just be part of expanding the whole Bethesda features/ Skyrim's creation kit/ mods downloading. Is that about right?
SHazardous
I think they want to make it easier to get... everything and anything through Steam. Also I think they will eventually add New Vegas to Workshop too. At least thats what adding of GECK NV to Steam tells me. BTW has anyone downloaded GECK from Steam yet. Is it same version as in Bethesda site or have they added something to it? Edited February 18, 2012 by SHazardous
Arios1570
I got the Ultimate Edition, which requires steam activation and the geck exe from Bethesda won't even start. I don't see what I did wrong, but it says it can't find some dll file with a name starting with "libvor". It's been a pain getting anything mod related working with this. So, I'm downloading the Geck with steam, hopefully they've geared that version to work with Ultimate edition.
Quetzlsacatanango
You downloaded the fo3 geck, not the NV one.
SHazardous
I tried to install GECK from Steam but didn't notice anything different about it. Same crashes and everything. It did add shortcut to desktop that starts it via Steam. Works fine without Steam though if you make shortcut directly to exe.
