Object Window Manipulation

I don't know if it's possible to do for all types, however to group your quests together into their own sub-category under quests, you enter "Categoryname\" (note the backslash at the end!) in the field Object Window Filter. I'm doing this with all the quests I'm creating for my mod Dovahheim, grouping them all together within a sub-category called (surprise) Dovahheim, and it works great (although you do have to close and reopen the object window when you first create it, and often have to select a different category and then come back to when adding subsequent objects to the category). I don't know if it's possible to do multiple levels like this, but you can give it a shot -- it'd probably be "Level1\Level2\".

There's likely a similar field for other objects, but I've not looked (and don't have the CK in front of me right now to check).

Im not getting it to work...I must be retarded or something. Im doing a new armor type with new meshes and would like to keep them separated. In the filter, I said "AAArmor\" and nothing. Then with that still in the filter, I tried to make boots and still got nothing. Did i do something wrong? Please help.

Thanks!

Using a prefix is even better imo though I havent tried using the above.

Everytime you make a new object name it (your cool prefix) YCP_NewItemName. Then when you search the object window you type 'YCP' and hit the 'ALL' tree at the bottom all objects you created will pop up.

You can even use "sub-prefixes" if thats a thing lol, to sort object types. Like if you made a quest and a few objects unique to that quest you could prefix everything for that quest like 'YCP_Quest_ObjectName' then like before you would search YCP_Quest in the filter and hit all.
