Unable to run game with Frosty...

Its just hanging on load, not necessarily actually loading as a background process, thats how all processes start, and then when they boot they move to active, in this case it hangs. Unfortunately the cause of this is unknown, i suspect its an incompatibility with the bcrypt.dll that mod manager places in the directory, and there is currently no known method to fix.

FWIW, I managed to make it work by deleting the Frosty Mod Manager app's folder and unpacking it again. I think when I first unpacked it (with 7zip) I unpacked the files directly instead of extracting them into their own folder. This time, I did that right away instead of moving the folders afterwards. Maybe that's related, maybe not, but it started.

Hello,

I recently changed my build and made a fresh Windows install (10 Education N, Creators Update). I used to be able to run FMM and mods without problems for ME Andromeda. Now, I can run the game fine from Origin, but not from FMM. FMM minimizes, Origin pops up, I see a process for MEA opening, but vanishing almost instantly. Here's what I tried:

  • With or without mods applied,
  • Deleting the Mods folder
  • Deleting the bcrypt.dll
  • Deleting the ModData folder
  • Restarting Origin (using ThinSetup or and older install file as I had in my previous build)
  • Redownloaded/extracted FMM a couple of times.

Using MEA 1.09 and FMM 1.02b, .NET Framework 4.07. Everything else is up to date (drivers, BIOS) as it is a new build. Any help appreciated at this point, I got used to playing with mods... Feels weird without. Thanks in advance !

EDIT: Origin actually says that I am 'In Game' and 'Playing Mass Effect Andromeda'.

I'm having the issue where if i launch the game through the MM it just runs in the backround, i do have a drm free version so no origin, i have the latest 1.09 patch installed. i tried deleting the moddata folder, none of my files are read only and it still just runs in the backround indefinitely

DRM free version? from where? as last I knew it was only available from Origin (even the store bought copies were just linked to an origin serial).

it is a pirated copy. basically drm free. i will buy the game as soon as EA and bioware fix their s***. until then i just want to mod the game but the process is runnning in the backround now and has been for hours, i tried all the other 'fixes' and none have worked.

The only help pirates get here on the Nexus is help walking the plank. :pirate: --TNL

Recently installed the 1.09 version of the game, now I'm having following issue:

I tried deleting the ModData folder, I did a fresh frosty install too. Nothing seems to help.
