Majormonologue Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 I cleaned my skyrim esm file before learning that it is apparently bad. Is it really bad cause I haven't found anything that says what it does just not to do it. Also how to I fix it?
cdcooley Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 You can't actually clean skyrim.esm because it always loads first. Cleaning involves comparing changes between files and removing bad changes from the last one loaded.
Majormonologue Posted June 8, 2017 Author Posted June 8, 2017 well I did clean it, or at least LOOT says I have
Majormonologue Posted June 8, 2017 Author Posted June 8, 2017 I did it awhile ago and I just realized that it is what is most likely causing me issues
Gorsha Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Delete/rename skyrim.esm. Verify your files on steam, and get a new one.
Majormonologue Posted June 8, 2017 Author Posted June 8, 2017 Gorsha I have done it and LOOT still says that skyrim esm is clean
Majormonologue Posted June 18, 2017 Author Posted June 18, 2017 So does no one know what happens when you clean skyrim esm?
TheGreatFalro Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 It shouldn't say it's dirty in the first place. If you've deleted it then re-verified, you're fine.
